Baden-Baden Christmas Market
November 29, 2018 –
January 6, 2019
The traditional Baden-Baden Christmas Market invites guests from around the world – young and old – for a special taste of the Christmas spirit. The “Christkindelsmarkt” takes place in front of the illuminated Kurhaus while the Black Forest Mountains offer a dramatic background.
Over 100 festively decorated stalls surrounded by the aromas of roasted almonds and freshly baked gingerbread will tempt you with their local arts and crafts, as well as local culinary treats. A glass of “Glühwein” (hot mulled wine) will get you into the holiday mood to enjoy a daily changing live program on the open-air stage by different performers, choirs, bands and other artists.
For the little ones there is a live nativity scene with donkeys and lambs. Another highlight is the arrival of the “Christkindel” in a hot-air balloon on December 6.
If you are in the mood for some physical activities, there is an ice-skating ring close by on Augustaplatz. Rentals are available.
