Welcome to Baden-Baden in the foothills of the Black Forest in southern Germany.

April – June 2022

Dear Travel Partners,

It is Springtime in Baden-Baden. Lichtentaler Allee, our parks and gardens, are one big colorful carpet with thousands of crocuses, daffodils and magnolia trees. A leisurely walk or a romantic ride in a horse-drawn carriage under our majestic giant trees is a must.

The Festival Hall, Europe’s second largest opera and concert hall, offers a spectacular Easter holiday program, including Tchaikovsky’s “Iolanta” performed by the Berlin Philharmonic with Kirill Petrenko. This is followed by a full schedule of diverse presentations, including “Elvis – The Musical,” right through the end of July. The European Dance Awards will be presented at the Kurhaus on May 6, 2022.

The first International Horse Race of the year, The Spring Meeting, will take place from May 25 to May 28, 2022.

Our restaurants and bistros for indoor and outdoor dining are welcoming local and international guests with special menus for everybody’s taste. We are proud to have two Michelin restaurants in the center of our town.

There are plenty of outdoor activities, from hiking and biking to paragliding. The Caracalla Spa with its thermal water is open every day of the week. A visit to the Casino Baden-Baden, Germany’s oldest and Europe’s best-known casino, is always a very special event.

I look forward to your visit to our city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
