To commemorate their 90th anniversary, United Airlines recently announced a drawing in which they were giving away 90,000 miles to 90 winners. Never one to be outdone, American Airlines joined the party and has announced a competition of their own: to mark the 35th anniversary of their rewards program, AAdvantage, the airline is letting travelers enter for a chance to win 350,000 miles in its "Miles for Milestones" sweepstakes, and will pick 35 lucky winners total.

For a chance to win, visit the sweepstakes page and enter your name, email, and AAdvantage number. All entries must be received by 12 p.m. CDT on June 1, 2016, and the names of the winners will be posted on the AA.com website on or "about" July 30, 2016. Regardless of whether or not you win one of the grand prizes, all entrants can still get 700 free miles. Here's how: On the same page where you'll enter your information for the contest, tell the airline what milestone you're saving for (e.g. a wedding, birthday, or other event), and choose when that milestone is from a drop-down menu. You can also earn 350 more miles by uploading a photo and/or sharing a milestone trip you've taken or plan to take on Twitter, Facebook, or via email with both hashtags #MilesforMilestones and #Promotion. These miles will become available in your account six to eight weeks after the promotion ends. Given that American recently announced major changes to its AAdvantage program, every little bit—er, mile—helps.
